『HOLIDAYS IN THE SUN』のリリースから
もう3週間ですね！
It has been 3 weeks already
since the release of 『HOLIDAYS IN THE SUN』!　

みなさん、猛暑が続きますが、
体調は大丈夫ですか？
Everyone, the heat wave continues,
are your health okay?

リリース以来、本当にたくさんのメッセージ
ありがとうございました！！（涙）
Since the release, there was really lots of messages
Thank you very much!! (tears)

みなさんの、やさしい気持ちに触れて
日々元気を貰っていますよ。。。
Everyone’s gentle feelings touches us
(like) receiving daily boosters…

どんどん暑くなって
どんどん日々は過ぎていきますが、
It’s becoming rapidly hot
and the days are rapidly coming by,

いまだに『HOLIDAYS IN THE SUN』を聴いています！！
Until now, I still listen to 『HOLIDAYS IN THE SUN』!!

やっぱり最高のアルバムですね！！

私は元気ですよ～！
I’m fine~!

今日は、プリプロをしていますよ。
順調に進んでいます。
Today, we are doing our pre-production.
and we are advancing well.

ひさしさんのスタジオでは、なにやら新しいスピーカーも仲間入りしたみたいで、にぎやかですよ。
新入り君の見た目はふにふにしてそうですが、ガッツリしたスピーカーです。
In Hisashi-san’s studio, and for some reason the new speaker as well that looks like joining a group, was busy.
*Can’t translate this line.. sorry*

「マシュマロっぽいね」とやはぎっちが言っていたから、マシュマロっちかな？
Since Yahagicchi said that 「It’s marshmallow-ish.」, should it be Marshmallow-chi?

ひさしさんが、消しゴムに似ていると言っていたので、消しゴムぴょんかな？
Hisashi-san said it resembles an eraser, should it be Eraser-pyon?

少し曇りがちな天気ではありましたが、楽しい雰囲気が最高でしたよ！
It was a bit cloudy weather, but it had a totally fun atmosphere!

たくさんの方が駆けつけてくれてとても楽しいライブになりました！！
優しい雰囲気に感動しながらの演奏になりました。
A lot of people rushed in and it became a fun live!!
With the tender ambiance, it became a moving performance.

広島に行く前に、SCHOOL OF LOCK“YUI LOCKS”の収録があったのですが、そこでいつもお世話になっている清水ますみさんが誕生日間近という事でお祝いさせて頂きましたよ！
Before going to Hiroshima, I recorded SCHOOL OF LOCK“YUI LOCKS”, and there we had a celebration for the birthday (soon) of Isao Masumi-san, who is always helping me out!

YUI in ROCK IN JAPAN 2010 – Quick Report

FORESTの妖精 「6年目」の強さと優しさ
Forest fairy, 6th year of strength and gentleness

「ロッキンは6年連続出場させていただいています！　いつもいい天気なんだけど、今日もすごくいい天気で。短い時間ですが、みんな盛り上がっていきましょう！」
「It will be my 6th consecutive performance in ROCKIN! It’s always had a nice weather but, we have a great weather today. In a short time, we’ll all get pumped up!」

……そう、SOUND OF FORESTが設置された2005年から6年連続で、ここFORESTで歌声を披露してくれているYUI。その姿を一目見ようと、FORESTは開演前から超満員！　長いドレスを風に揺らしながら、「あー、気持ちいいね！　暑いけど、よろしくお願いします！」と言って始まったのは1曲目の“GLORIA”。
…..yes, set in SOUND OF FOREST since in 2005 and continuing for 6th consecutive years, I introduce the singing voice of this FOREST, YUI. At one glance on the figure, the FOREST was full before the start! While her dress is being blown by the wind, she said 「A–, feels nice! It’s warm but, yoroshiku onegaishimasu!」 and she started of with the first song “GLORIA”.

高らかに沸き上がる拍手と歓声を、そのままクラップへと導いていく！　繊細でいてどこまでも伸びやかな歌声が、アコースティック・ギターの響きや森のそよ風と絡まり合いながら、ひたちなかの広大な空間へと広がっていく。
A loud outburst of applause and cheering lead the clap as it is!* Delicate anywhere and with a carefree voice, while enveloping the forest with the echo of the acoustic guitar and gentle breeze, spreading in the wide space of Hitachinaka.

“CHE.R.RY”“SUMMER SONG”と惜しげもなくポップ・ナンバーを畳み掛けたかと思えば、真摯なバラード“to Mother”を一言一言噛み締めるように歌い上げる。もはやFORESTの妖精ないしは守り神的な存在の彼女。
I probably think that the “CHE.R.RY” and “SUMMER SONG” answered requests of a freely pop number, while each word of the sincere ballad “to Mother” was heartfelt as it was sang with full expression. Now, she is between either a FOREST fairy or a guardian deity.

機材トラブルにだって動じることなく「ちょっとトラブルみたいな感じで……（観客を見回して）ちびっこいたけど大丈夫かな？　かわいい♪（手を振る）」とオーディエンスとの交流を全身で楽しんでいる。
There was a technical error, however she was agitated and said 「There seems to be some trouble … (looks at the audience) hey small kid, are you okay? Cute ♪ (waves her hand)」. The whole interaction with the audience was fun to watch.

「後半戦！」という声とともに、白のジャズマスターを手にしたYUI、ロックンロール・モード全開で“es.car”から一気に加速！　そのまま“Rolling star”“Tonight”でFORESTの空気丸ごとがっつり揺さぶる！
「Here comes the second part!」 YUI said holding her white Jazzmaster. Rock n’ Roll Mode started at once from “es.car”! Next were “Rolling star” and “Tonight”, the whole FOREST were swinging!

　最後は再びアコギに持ち替えて“Good-bye days”。彼女の歌がひときわエモーショナルなヴァイブを帯びて……終了。2年3ヵ月ぶりのアルバム『HOLIDAYS IN THE SUN』で見せた風通しの良さと、その「うた」の核にある強靭さを自然体で見せつけたアクト。ステージを去る彼女の後ろ姿に、その場にいた誰もが「『7年目』もぜひ！」と願ったに違いない。（高橋智樹）
Last song, changing to acoustic guitar once again, is “Good-bye days”. Her voice wears a remarkably emotional vibe… End of report. Her album after 2 years and 3 months 『HOLIDAYS IN THE SUN』 displays full quality, the core meaning of the 「songs」 shows toughness and spontaneity. Her appearance from behind while leaving the stage, no doubt, everyone in the area wished 「Certainly (come back on your) 『7th Year』！」. (Takahashi Toshiki)
